Source home + object is a concept designed specifically to bring mid to high-end homeware and gift retailers together with suppliers.
Originally designed as a beautiful showroom for suppliers to display their wares, Source was the concept of Debbie Stevens who at the time was a distributor of homewares from Scandinavia. She wanted an alternative to show her products other than the twice yearly fairs that were on offer.
Her thought was that if she wanted a different concept then there was the potential for other wholesalers to feel the same. That’s when Source home + object was born back in 2012.
Source remained in their home, a 1000sqm two story building in Ellerslie until COVID first struck in 2020. Until then around 30 exhibitors were displaying their ranges and Source represented a portion of these in the market as Territory Managers.
Since then Source has had to alter their business model and all staff now work from home. Due to the nature of our business Source now acts as Territory Manager (Agent) for selected wholesalers, some based in New Zealand others in Australia.
With amazing dedicated staff sales have grown over the past two years due to the fantastic relationships forged with our suppliers and retailers.
Always on the look-out for new brands to add to their stable of Source's Partners we are always open to talking to up-and-coming companies as well as brands that are established in the market place.
We have negotiated to have some of our brands represented in stores like Smith & Caugheys, Ballantynes & Father Rabbit as well as 100s more in both the North & South Islands and we are constantly looking for new and exciting retailers in areas throughout the country that are the right fit for the brands we represent.
The plans for our last four carefully curated boutique fairs have been cancelled due to COVID appearing every time a show has been scheduled. But we still manage to get our Partner’s products in front of retailers due to our popular Zoom sessions that are like visiting suppliers stands at a fair.
